Brüderchen kommt zu Besuch (Teneriffa/ La Gomera) (My brother comes to visit us)

10.10 – 16.10.15 (Martin)
Gegen Mittag kommt mein Bruder Wolfgang.
At around noon my brother Wolfgang will visit us. Tenerife is „his“ favorite island and he has been here before fore several times- but for now we will first go to La Gomera. At first we make an anchor stop at a very nice bay Playa de Santiago.

On the next morning we keep going to Valle Gran Rey or Puerto de Vueltas. This is the place were the most hippies landed a couple of years ago. A lot of german live here and there is an german bakery and a lot of shops, in which they talk german. We drop our anchor in the beautiful bay and drive with the Dinghy into the harbor.

mit dem Dinghy geht es zum Hafen
We drove with the Dinghy into the Harbor
On the next day we rent us a car an drove to the national park: „Parque National de Garajonay“. With slightly rain and fog we wander to a view point (referring to Wolfgang you can see the neighbor islands at good weather), but thats what we saw:
Nichts! Nothing!

But we had our fun, even though we had rain and fog:
As we arrived at the car we met 3 girls from Germany (internship in tenerife), that waited for the bus and so we took them with our car, because otherwise they would have to wait hours in the rain for the next bus.

On the 14.10. we left La Gomera and sailed to Tenerife, where we arrived the harbor of Los Gigantes at midnight. This short sailing trip was very relaxing:
Sonne genießen während einer ruhigen Überfahrt
Enjoying the sun during the nice sailing trip
In Tenerife we again rented a car and drove together to Puerto de La Cruz, where we said goodbye to my brother- he will visit friends and we will go to the beach, because it was very hot and we enjoyed it:

Because Wolle loves „his island“ he could imagine to work and live here for a couple of month during the years- the weather is way better during the winter than it is in the north of Germany. Wolle is a musician and has already played in Tenerife. Let see what the future will bring.
Viel Erfolg wünscht die First Step Besatzung!
The crew of the First Step wishes you all the best!

It was a great time with you on board.
