Dear friends and interested readers!
Da es schon einige Zeit her ist seit dem letzten Blogeintrag (der nächste ist schon in Arbeit und wird wahrscheinlich dementsprechend umfangreich) will ich Euch mal mit einem Eintrag verwöhnen!
Because it is quiet a while ago since the last entree was released (but its in progress and will probably be very big) I will now spoil you with this blog post.

Im
Dezember bin ich mit den Kindern und Schwiegerkindern in Martinique
eingefallen! Wir haben alle zusammen Weihnachten und Silvester gefeiert,
diesmal ohne Schnee und Kälte!
I have no been sailing with the boys together for 3 month and we experienced and say a lot! I came on board in december with family and kids in law as we visited these two in Martinique. We celebrated Christmas and new years eve together, this time without snow and coldness.
Die Wärme hat uns aber nicht davon abgehalten Feuerzangenbowle zu machen und das Schiff mit Lichterketten und einem Tannenbaum (Dank an Frank und Julius von der Jucunda) festlich zu schmücken!
But the heat could not keep us away from an burnt punch and a decorated boat with several lights and even a christmas tree (thanks to Frank and Julius from the Jucunda).

Leider musste Tom nach 9
Tagen wieder zurück fliegen und die anderen nach 4 Wochen!
Sadly Tom had to leave us after 9 days and the others stayed for a total of 4 weeks.

Wir waren zusammen
auf Martinique (St.Anne), St. Lucia (Rodney Bay), auf Dominica (St. Rupert Bay),
wo wir total viel Spass mit Eric Spaghetti hatten, der jede Pause zum Kiffen
nutzte und dann fröhlich wurde!
We were together on Martinique, St. Anne, St. Lucia in the Rodney bay, at Dominica, where we had a lot of fun with Eric Spaghetti, who used every break he got to smoke a joint, but he was therefore in a much better mood than before.

Auf Dominica hat Eric uns
den Indian River entlang gerudert und wir konnten die Hexenhütte vom Dreh aus
Fluch der Karibik bewundern!
At Dominica Eric was steering us through the Indian River on his Kanu to show us the film scenes of the Pirates of the Caribbean and the beauty of the river.

Den nächsten Tag haben wir
einen Ausflug über die Insel zu tollen Wasserfällen gemacht!

Auch hier sind wir durch
ein Indianerreservat gefahren ! Warum werden eigentlich alle Indianer
immer von ihrem eigenen Land vertrieben?

Danach gings nach Le
Gossier und Marie Galante (liegen vor Guadeloupe).

Auf Guadeloupe haben wir Autos geliehen und waren im
Regenwald, der seinem Namen alle Ehre gemacht hat! Es hat geschifft und wir
sind gleich im Bikini gelaufen, so waren wir nur 1x nass!
In Guadeloupe we rent some cars and drove through the rain forest, which really deserves his name. It was raining all the time and we stepped out of the car in swimming suits already, so that we would become wet only once.
Danach kamen unsere
Freunde Petra und Andi und wir sind von Guadeloupe (Cousteau National Park - Pidgeon Island) nach Antigua
gesegelt!
Auf Antigua waren wir auf Shirley Hights wo es zwei mal die Woche ein grosses Barbeque mit Steel-Drum Band gibt!
Ganz großes Kino!
Dann ging es weiter nach Montserrat, wo wir uns natürlich durch die verschüttete Stadt haben führen lassen!

After the family left our good friends Petra and Andi came on board and we sailed from Guadeloupe, through St. Anne and Antigua. At Antigua we went to an amazing BBQ with an great views over the English Harbor at the Shirley Hights.
A big party with BBQ, a steel drum band and an cover band!
It was amazing!!!
Of course we had to go to the city that got buried by ash from the volcano and had a great guide, that lead us through the city.

In St. Maarten haben Willers uns nach 2 Wochen leider wieder verlassen müssen und
meine Eltern sind gekommen und sind mit uns 2 Wochen gesegelt, obwohl meine
Mutter immer seekrank wird!
Sie haben sich tapfer geschlagen!
Endlich hatte ich jemanden, der mit mir das Kreuzwort Rätsel Spiel spielt! Papa:
Losch!!
Am 18.2. haben wir Papas
77. Geburtstag auf Scrub Island gefeiert!
In st. Maarten we had to let the Willers go and my parents came on board for 2 Weeks, to sail with us.
Even though my mom gets sea sick.
But they did great!
Finally I had somebody that would play with me the crossword puzzles- game! Dad: Losch!!!

On February 18th we celebrated dads 77. birthday in scrub island!
Auf Anegada haben wir den besten Lobster
gegessen und ganz viele Conchhäuschen gefunden, die ich auf dem Boot geschrubbt
habe!!
In Anegada we ate the best Lobster and found thousands of conch houses (shells) which we took on board and cleaned.
Vor Tortola haben wir geankert und meine Eltern mit dem Dinghi an Land
gefahren und sind dann zu Fuß zum Flughafen gelaufen!
We anchored in front of Tortola and brought my parents via the dinghy to the airport!
Wo gibt es noch sowas?
Und selbst auf dem Flughafen liefen Hühner herum, wie überall auf den Inseln!
Where can you do that? And even on the airport where chickens all over the place, which where all over the islands!
Die Baths auf Virgin Gorda waren der Hammer, leider waren wir da zu kurz!
The Baths were just beautiful, but we sadly had not enough time for them!
Jost van Dyke und die US Virgin Islands: St. John, St. Thomas (tolle Shoppingmall) waren toll!

Meinen Geburtstag haben
wir auf der Insel Culebra (vor Puerto Rico) verbracht und sind abends nach Puerto Rico gesegelt! Hier hat
Martin uns als meine Geburtstags Überraschung in einem Hotel eingemietet! Was
für ein Luxus: ein weiches Bett und duschen solange man will!
We spent my birthday on Culebra and sailed to Puerto Rico on the evening. Here did Martin book us a room in an Hotel as a surprise for my birthday. It was amazing how luxury a comfortable bed and an shower as long as you want is!
Jetzt sind wir
vor der Dom. Rep. und in 2 Tagen werde ich wieder nach Hause fliegen!
Now we are in front of the Dominican Republic and in 2 days I will be flying home!
Mein Fazit:
- Leben einmal ganz anders und ohne Schuhe,
- Keine Insel ohne segeln,
- das Wasser ist nicht immer schön ,
- viele nette Segler kennen gelernt,
- tolle Sachen und wilde Tiere gesehen (Wenn ein Rochen unter mir schwimmt habe ich noch immer Angst!)
- Glaubt bitte nicht, das einem an Bord langweilig ist, nee, es gibt immer was zum reparieren und putzen!
My resume:
- Living totally different and without shoes
- No islands without sailing,
- the water is not always beautiful,
- we saw great things and wild animals! I still get scared when I see an stingray swimming under me.
- Please do not think, that you will get bored on the boat, ohh no, there is always something to repair and clean.
Fasziniert hat mich auch wie gut Vater und Sohn zusammen harmonieren! Natürlich
knallt es auch hin und wieder, aber sie beruhigen sich immer wieder!
Es war einfach toll
an Bord und ich komme mit einem riesigen Rucksack an Eindrücken nach Hause!
Jetzt muss ich mich erstmal auf der Arbeit von den Jungs erholen und Geld
verdienen, damit sie weiter segeln können ;-)

alle, die an meinen Geburtstag gedacht haben! Ich habe mich sehr über Eure
Glückwünsche gefreut !
Nun geht es wieder zurück
in die kalte Heimat und ich bin überzeugt, dass ich nach kurzer Zeit wieder
anfangen werde zu jammern, weil ich Fernweh kriege nach meinen Jungs und der
Sonne!

Fascinating is also how good father and son harmonize together! Of course they go off on each other once and then, but the always get back together!
It was just great on board and I will come back home with an huge backpack of impressions. But now I have to go home to earn some money so that my boys can keep sailing. :-)
Thank you very much also to all that celebrated me to my birthday! I was really happy about every congrats!
No I have to go back in the cold old germany and i am convinced that I will start moaning, because I want to get back to the boys and the sun!
